Where Did We Sit on the Bus?

In this solo show, a Latina child asks, during a school lesson on Rosa Parks, “Where did we sit on the bus?” Follow her from childhood to adulthood as she explores her family’s history, her identity as a first-generation American, and what the world will be like for her future children. Originally an autobiographical show by Brian Quijada, and now performed by Indigenous and queer Mexican-American multidisciplinary artist Satya Jnani Chavez. All music is played live and looped by Chavez. Where Did We Sit on the Bus? will perform a limited-engagement June 15 through June 24 on the mainstage (142 East De Vargas Street, Santa Fe, Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 pm, and Saturdays at 2 pm and 7:30 pm. Opening Night is Thursday, June 15 at 7:30 pm.

Let's Go Birding Together! is a free birding event for the LGBTQIA++ community for Pride. Audubon Southwest and the Randall Davey Audubon Center & Sanctuary, invite the Santa Fe LGBTQIA++ community to join us in celebrating not just the diversity of our birds in Santa Fe, but also our people. Let's Go Birding Together! is a birding walk intentionally welcoming of the LGBTQIA++ community and is designed to be a space where people can be themselves without fear of judgment. Let's Go Birding Together! bird walks build community and create diversity, reflecting the biodiversity in our ecosystems. Tri-M Productions Presents “Kinky Boots”!

Tri-M Productions of Santa Fe will present the Tony-Award-winning musical, "Kinky Boots" this coming June 15–25, 2023. The music and lyrics are by Cyndi Lauper and the book is by Harvey Fierstein. Mostly inspired by true events, the musical tells the story of Charlie Price. Having inherited a shoe factory from his father, Charlie forms an unlikely partnership with cabaret performer and drag queen Lola to produce a line of high-heeled boots and save the business. In the process, Charlie and Lola discover that they are not so different after all. Winner of the Tony for Best Musical in 2013, this is a wonderful show. It has been described as a "warm, likable, brassy, sentimental, big-hearted" production. Tickets are reserved seating, $40 and $30; half-price coupons available for students/youths.
