Queer Alphabet: A Program of LGBTQIA Themed Short Plays

Almost Adults Productions, Human Rights Alliance, and LiveArts are joining forces for Pride Month for Queer Alphabet: An LGBTQIA Short Play Reading Program. This diverse collection of short works will occur Sunday, June 16that 4 PM at the Unitarian Universalist of Santa Fe, 107 W. Barcelona Rd. These international and multigenerational comedies and dramas will celebrate inclusivity within a diverse community. Two of the plays are world premieres. The program will be accompanied by virtuoso local pianist Andre Garcia-Nuthmann. Program is as follows: Lovers and Survivors by Aaron Leventman (Santa Fe, NM) about two friends spanning 50 years who survive the AIDS crisis together; Wabi Sabi by Rachael Carnes (Portland, OR) which addresses teenage gender identity as two previous friends reconnect in high school; Bisexual Sadness by India Kotis (New York, New York) about the about the uncomfortable tensions between personal and social identity; Slow Dating by Adam Szudrich (Australia) about an elderly woman tries speed dating and it leads to a night with a charming stranger; Switching Sides by Terry McFadden (L.A., CA,) which is a sort of intergenerational coming out story about a father and son; A is for Ahhh….. by written and performed by Marguerite Louis Scott […]

A free bird walk for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community led by an expert bird guide. This is an Audubon tradition for Pride month, now going into our 5th year. Please register by contacting: We will meet at 8:30 at the Santa Fe Nature Conservancy/Dale Ball Trailhead parking lot on Cerro Gordo Road and begin birding on the NTC trails then walk up the road to the Randall Davey Audubon Center for the remaining time.
