On this 35th anniversary of World AIDS Day, HRA Santa Fe will join our friends from Southwest Care on the Plaza for a candlelight vigil and remembrance this evening at 5:30. Please be sure to join us and wear something warm!
December is our annual Holiday Raffle – we have 3 great gift baskets to raffle off, each containing more than $600.00 worth of gift certificates, goodies, and holiday SWAG! Tickets are only $25.00 each or 5 for $100.00. We are only selling 125 tickets, so your chances of winning are really pretty good! Why do we do this raffle? It’s part of our end-of-the-year giving drive, and all monies go to continuing and expanding continuing our mission.
We have many great events planned before the end of the year, so please consider joining us for one or all of them.
- Next Saturday, Dec. 9, is our first-ever queer clothing swap – never been to a clothing swap – well, what are you waiting for? You can sign up here. All we ask is that you bring 10 – 15 pieces of clean clothing that you are willing to part with – and in turn, you get to pick 10 – 15 pieces of clothing from our cool stash. Whatever is left over will be brought to a homeless shelter. This is a FREE event – but you do need to register online. Come on out and give your wardrobe a refresh – for free!
- On Tuesday, Dec. 12, we are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting Equal Grounds, our first queer and queer ally business mixer, along with our partners in the city of Santa Fe Office of Economic Development. These mixers will be held monthly with the goal of bringing the Queer and Allied Business Community together to talk about how to make our great city more just, equitable, diverse, and inclusive. Please do consider being part of this exciting new development as we work with the city of Santa Fe to build a positive and equitable future for the community. Everyone is welcome, and you don’t have to be a business owner to attend. Our first Equal Grounds will take place at The Plaza Cafe South at 8:30 am on Tuesday, Dec. 12. - Then, finally, on Thursday, Dec. 14, we are hosting our annual Holiday party at Tumbleroot on Agua Fria. The mixer starts at 5:00 pm with plenty of snacks to nosh. Drag Bingo begins promptly at 7:00 pm – tickets for Bingo are only $20.00 for six games, and all monies raised go toward HRA and help us continue our ever-expanding outreach. The aforementioned raffle drawing will be held at 8:00 pm that evening so you can buy tickets at the event.
