Greetings and Happy December,
The Holiday season is fully underway, our Holiday Gift Basket Raffle is running, and we are planning and strategizing the best way(s) to support our community here in Santa Fe and New Mexico. In addition, we are in the midst of our fundraising campaign to open an LGBTQ+ Center to serve the greater Santa Fe area. We conducted a survey 3 years ago to determine the interest in the community for a Center. We found that more than 50% of the respondents indicated they were very interested and would definitely utilize the Center; another 31% indicated that they would likely utilize a center. Now, we are putting out another survey to determine the needs and desires of the community with regard to the Center. Won’t you please take a moment to fill out this survey?
We have another Community Conversations event happening next Tuesday, Dec. 10, at the Santa Fe Teen Center. This one is geared to youth and their parents, but everyone is welcome. If you’ve never been to the Teen Center, please join us and come take a look at this great facility. Equal Grounds then follows the next day at the downtown Santa Fe Conventions Center Gallery.
Drag Bingo and our Holiday party is Wednesday, Dec. 18, starting at 5 pm for the mixer and Bingo at 7 pm.
Our final Community Conversations for the year is Saturday, Dec. 21, in the community room at the La Farge branch public library – and finally, get ready to Twirl that evening with us at Tumbleroot for our Queer dance party!.
