We are just four days away from one of the most consequential Presidential elections in US history. If you haven’t done so already, please vote. Your vote is your voice.
I want to invite you to join us for one of our Equal Grounds Coffees that we host monthly, along with the city of Santa Fe’s Economic Development Department. These breakfasts are for everyone, and we especially welcome LGBTQ+ business owners and allies. There’s a short informational presentation at each breakfast, some networking time and lots of collaboration. Our Movement breakfast will be a great place to get more information on the internship program set up with our local Santa Fe High schools.
HRA will be expanding our monthly Community Conversations event to twice monthly and will be offering additional services during these Community events. For our expansion, we are looking for five volunteers who are interested in getting trained and certified to become Community Healthcare Workers. Community health workers (CHWs) are lay members of the community who work either for pay or as volunteers in association with the local healthcare system in both urban and rural environments. They play a crucial role in building community power and improving health outcomes. Please contact me directly if you are interested and would like to make an impact in our community. HRA will cover the costs of training and implementation.
If you are looking for some fun later this month, please join us for Drag Bingo on November 20th and Tumbleroot Twirl on Saturday, November 30th!
