Happy Wednesday,

As we move into the Holiday Season, please know that HRA is here to support our community during this sometimes difficult time of year for many in our community.

We are very excited to expand our presence and role for justice and equity in our intersectional community and will be actively involved in the next legislative session and before.

We have a variety of events coming up – many of which are free and include Community Conversations and a book discussion on American Teenager with the author Nico Lang this Saturday. Additionally, we are starting a Friendsgiving potluck on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at the Center. We have moved Somewhere in the Rainbow and our PRIDE After 5 for November to the Day after Thanksgiving, Nov. 28. Join us early from 5 – 7 pm for conversations and networking, and then from 7 pm – 10 pm enjoy a Thanksgiving weekend dance party.

Additionally, we have some new offerings in December, including Board President Michaelangelo D’Arrigo’s Advent of Inclusion. This series of events will discuss and unpack the many myths that the Christian right wants everyone to believe, especially during this special season of the year. Then beginning on Saturday, Dec. 6, we are launching Queer Therapy Group with Marie Turco, LCSW. This is a free group session; space is limited, so please sign up here.

And finally, it’s the end of the year, and we hope you’ll consider the Human Rights Alliance in your year-end giving. The Pride Center is the first center of its kind in Santa Fe and northern NM. We are expanding our offerings to the greater community, and of course, everything comes with a price tag, especially our goal of increasing programming to 3 days per week

Be well, and we all look forward to seeing you at one of our events.
