Volunteer FAQ
Do I need previous volunteer experience?
Not at all. Many opportunities require no special experience. If a role requires orientation or particular skills, we’ll make that clear before you commit.
How much time do I have to commit?
As much or as little as makes sense for you. Some opportunities are a single event or a few hours. Others are better suited to volunteers looking for an ongoing role.
Can my company, organization, or group volunteer together?
We welcome volunteer groups. Tell us about your group when you sign up and we’ll look for an opportunity that works well for everyone.
Can I volunteer for Santa Fe PRIDE?
Absolutely. PRIDE is one of HRA’s largest volunteer efforts of the year, with opportunities before, during, and after the celebration.
What if I’m not sure what I want to do?
That’s completely fine. Tell us what interests you, what you’re good at, or simply that you’d like to help. We’ll start there.
