Greetings on this beautiful spring Santa Fe day,
As usual, we have been busy here at HRA. This coming Tuesday, we will be hosting Equal Grounds at SITE Santa Fe from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. This month’s Equal Grounds will feature a guest speaker from the Apple Foundation. PRIDE After 5 is also happening next week on Thursday, April 11th, at the new San Francisco Street Bar and Grill in Downtown Santa Fe.
We would also like to mention we could really use some help for PRIDE 2024. We need volunteers for PRIDE month to assist us at all planned PRIDE events. In addition, we will need at least 20 more volunteers to help with PRIDE on the Plaza. Another way you could help us is to spread the word about PRIDE to your friends and family. Join us in one of the most meaningful celebrations the city offers. Better yet, become a sponsor for PRIDE 2024. Please contact me directly for more details. This year, we will be taking over more space and extending our footprint all the way down Lincoln Ave to Federal Place.
In these current divisive political times, it is more important than ever to show up and be present as a community. This year, more than ever, we need to be front and center. As much as we may not want to think about politics and all of the insanity surrounding this year’s presidential election – our very presence as members of the LGBTQIA+ community is a powerful political statement. Let’s maintain our presence and a seat at the table so that our voices are heard and noted on all important issues that affect our community.
Let’s show Santa Fe the beauty and depth of the LGBTQIA+ community!
