Greetings and Happy Halloween:
There are many things happening around town, and the best event by far will be VAMP Motel, our annual Halloween Fundraiser. Come on down to Tumbleroot Brewery and Distillery this Saturday night from 8:00 pm – 1:00 am for a spectacular Halloween Bash! We’ve got three great DJ’s, a Drag Show and a special Outdoor ‘Fire’ show that is not to be missed. Tickets are only $25.00 and are available here. This event helps us fund our year-round work through our programs such as Community Conversations, Community building, and our advocacy both on a local and state level to fight for Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and maintain the many freedoms we have here in the great state of NM. We have a few more open shifts if you would like to help with Vamp Motel by volunteering, and as a bonus, you get to enjoy the event of this spooky season for free. As you know, Mike Johnson was just voted in to become our new Speaker of the House. A man who, as an attorney and spokesman for The Alliance Defending Freedom – a man who wants to pass a nationwide ‘Don’t Say Gay’ law, a man who has stated that same-sex marriage could be the downfall of the democratic system.
Local elections are coming up soon, and we are in the midst of early voting. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE – do your due diligence and research the candidates thoroughly.
